Ms Theobald is an honorary Geordie, having moved to the North East 20 years ago.  She has a cross-sector background having worked in senior positions in the Corporate, Professional and Voluntary sectors before establishing her own company, Bridge Club Ltd in 2000.  As the managing director of Bridge Club Ltd, Ms Theobald is passionate about good business relationships at every level of the enterprise community. Communication, collaboration and connectivity are core to the company’s involvement in organisations, regardless of sector.

 

Ms Theobald is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Newcastle University and sits on the boards of a number of young, North East-based businesses. In 2007, Ms Theobald accepted a Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion for the work she continues to do in harnessing the enterprising capital of young people and business owner/managers.

 

Ms Theobald has been the Honorary Consul for Sweden since February 2007 and since her induction to the role has worked on strengthening business and cultural relationships between the UK and Sweden.  She has hosted a visit to the region by the UK Ambassador for Sweden and has made a number of high profile introductions between the two countries’ business communities.
